The first supplement for the Saga Rules are about a month away and in my mind, it’s the most important supplement so I’m impressed that they’re coming out with it first. Starships of the Galaxy is set to come out December 18, 2007 and my hope is to have it before Christmas. Now I just wish I have more time to play because since I bought the new rules, I really haven’t had much of a chance to put my campaign together nor have I had a chance to get people together to play. Probably after the holidays so I’ll be able to incorporate the new starship rules into things.
Star Wars Role Playing Game Saga Edition designer Rodney Thompson talked about Saga Edition and some upcoming products in this chat. He said the next book to come out will be Starships of the Galaxy, which will be everything and anything related to space combat. He said it should be out in December of 2007. He said they then hope to release about five products a year. Very cool stuff.
Wizards.com recently released a conversion guide that lets you convert your old d20 Star Wars RPG into one playable under the Star Wars Role Playing Game Saga Edition. I haven’t read through it too closely but I’m interested to see how well it works.
I love web enhancements and the latest one is a nice one as you get the full specs for the Devaronians race for the Star Wars Role Playing Game Saga Edition. This is the kind of stuff that really helps the product line and whets people’s appetite for more products. I found this while I was patiently stopping by to see if there was more on the Dawn of Defiance campaign path.
Wizards.com has unveiled a ten adventure campaign path for the Star Wars Role Playing Game Saga Edition called Dawn of Defiance. The adventure takes place between episode III and episode IV in a period of time where we don’t have much on so it should be interesting to see how they fill in some of the blanks but based on the title, it looks like it’s going to have a lot of Rebellion Era aspects. I always enjoyed that setting because of the guerilla warfare style of the campaign so this campaign path looks particularly interesting. It looks like the adventures are going to free but it’s not 100% clear.
Wizards.com recently released a cool pdf file that will help you keep track of a particular players force powers. You can download the Force Player Cards here.
In the first web enhancement for the Star Wars Role Playing Game Saga Edition, designer Rodney Thompson takes a look at the Tech Specialist. He also hints at an upcoming sourcebook that could be coming out soon. So far, Wizards.com has kept pretty quiet about the product schedule for the Star Wars Role Playing Game Saga Edition and it’d be nice if we knew what was coming out.
I finally got my copy of the Star Wars Role Playing Game Saga Edition and I’ve had a chance to flip through it. Some of it I really like (the force user section) while some of it is only okay. I’m going to be running my first game here soon and I’m going to start out with a Rebellion Era campaign, which was always my favorite setting and the first order of business is to get my players some characters.
At least according to Amazon.com, the Star Wars Role Playing Game Saga Edition is supposed to come out today. The downer is, I preordered the book and at least as of 8:30 pm EDT, I haven’t gotten notice that the book has shipped so I’m wondering if we have another delay. It does say it’s in stock but I’m not sure if that’s automatic based on the release date or not.
Anyway, I’m patiently (for now) waiting for my book.
The Stars RPG main site wrapped up their previews for the Star Wars Role Playing Game Saga Edition with a look at starship and vehicle combat. It looks like an interesting system with the spaceships basically having some of the attributes of a character.
There’s just about two weeks left until the new rules come out. That is, assuming there’s not a third delay. Anyway, I can’t wait to get my hands on it so I can start my Rebellion Era campaign.
